Families for 2019-2020 school year,

Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) arranges our transportation using Lamers for us each school year. It is that time of year to start thinking if you are interested in busing. You may have received a phone call this morning from Transportation, please follow the information below. If you are not interested please disregard this email.
SAC has agreed to provide families with assistance again this year that do not qualify for busing and need to pay the $200 fee out of pocket. They have decided to cover 50% per student for the 2019.2020 school year.
There are several options for busing so please be sure you are choosing the correct option for your family…
1) Home to School to Home; $0 for qualifying address
2) Home to School to Home; *$200 for non-qualifying address with in boundary
3) Res to SM to Res Shuttle; *$200 for non-qualifying address
   *$200 is the fee from GBAPS will charge you. SAC will cover 50% per student bringing it down to $100 if ALL documentation listed below is turned into the school office by June 30th.
STEP ONE; General Busing Eligibility Rules Per GBAPS:
  • The Boundaries and Eligibility map can be found by clicking here.
  • Students who live in their attendance boundary are eligible for FREE busing if they fall under one or more of the following…
    • Are in K-8 and live at least 2 miles from school
    • Are in 4K and live 1/2 mile or more from school
    • Are currently homeless and residing in a different school attendance boundary
    • Have transportation as a related service in their IEP
STEP TWO; What You Need To Do:
If you are a RETURNING QUALIFYING bus rider you will need to do the following…
  • Nothing, GBAPS should be contacting you this summer. You may have received a phone call this morning.
If you are a NEW QUALIFYING bus rider you will need to do the following for each student…
  • Fill out an Enrollment form click here to print
  • Must provide proof of residence with parent name and date. It can be a utility bill (gas, water, electric), lease/rental agreement, mortgage statement.
If you are a RETURNING PAID bus rider you will need to do the following…
  • GBAPS should be contacting you this summer. You may have received a phone call this morning.
  • Fill out the Parent Paid Contract link by clicking here
  • Send a check to the school office for $100/student made out to GBAPS
If you are a NEW PAID bus rider you will need to do the following…
  • Fill out an Enrollment form by clicking here
  • Fill out the Parent Paid Contract link by clicking here
